In the More Tales series, director Robert Boggs presents succulent lads of Eastern Europe

the common denominators of More Tales 3, having appeared in every film of the series. Ariel Vanean and George Michaelo have each

as I promised, this is the next instalment of my section AK's Comments. Last time I ''played on a serious string'', but that's life, let's have a little relief this time. So this article is about ''the biggest dick in Paris''. No, you don't have to worry, this is not about politics:-). So here is some basic info, you have to know for the event that comes next. The Cartier Foundation (http://fondation.cartier.com ) is a very prestigious private institution for Contemporary Art. It is based in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, on the boulevard Raspail, and it is housed in a beautiful building by architect Jean Nouvel Têtu magazine had been tipped by one of the artists, probably the one who doesn't claim to be straight:-) so they came and took pictures while they were at work.
So what actually happened that night? Two guys, in the concrete, Olive who is a computer graphic designer and Alex which is the assistant of a PR artistic director, came around 2am to this 20 meter long fence. They came with paints, sketches and some beer, because to be honest you need to drink a bit to do this, so after few good gulps they began.
At first they used 20 liters for the white background, which was more than you need to repaint all the crosswalks around Eiffel Tower. It took them approximately one hour, then they drew the shape with black paint and then pink (surprisinglyJ..) for the dickhead. As they were working and time went by, people walked by and stopped to watch them work. Some of them admired their art, some of them just stood there with one thought 'I wish I was………'
The 'work' was done at 4am and the result? The biggest dick in Paris. It was meant as a provocation to the general public but also to the museum because they don't like the idea of street art being put in a museum, they think it belongs in the street and shouldn't sell out. So remember that night of Friday 0ctober 2nd to Saturday October 3rd was the night when 'the biggest one' was born. I'd like to introduce myself first. My name is Adam Kubick and you probably know me from an earlier period, when I used to act in Robert's movies. I've decided to come up, few times per month, with some story you could be interested in.
Originally, I wanted to start with something less serious. With something you could maybe smile at, but something has happened and I feel I have to react to this. I want to write down a few words about Stephen Gately's death.
Stephen was a member of Boyzone. One of the most successfull boys' bands in the 1990's. I don't want to describe their complete discography or talk about his childhood or similar things. I'd just like to stick to three points.
The first is, Stephen was a hero in his own way and that's simply because, he was the first member of all those boys' bands who openly said he was gay. It happened in 1999, when 'Boyzone' was at the top of their fame. At that time, he asked The Sun, for help in making his coming out. They agreed and the headline on that day was:"Boyzone Stephen:I'm gay and I'm in love". I know, lots of guys have had problem with their own coming out, but to say this, when you are known around the world and you are in a position where all your music production has been designed for the ears of yelling teenage girls, is according to me a heroic deed. Luckily, it didn't have a bad effect for the band and he could happily continue in his career.
Another thing is, he'd been hiding his sexuality for a long time. The public became aware of Boyzone in 1994 and Stephen came out five years later.I think, if he had admitted his sexuality from the beginnings of the band, I really doubt he would ever have become a member of the band. Just because at that time it wasn't "right". I believe, with all the bad language and abuse he had to face and deal with, because of some stupid narrow-minded individuals ....nevertheless, the relief his coming out brought him was really a satisfaction for him. Let's hope he was happy. He even got married a few years ago with his longtime boyfriend Andy Cowles.
Last but not least is his death. It happened in Mallorca, where he was enjoying a holiday with his husband and where he was working on his book. The reason why he died is unknown and I think not that substantial. The main thing is, how unfair is that. How cruel life can be.
It's just not right when death "comes" for you and you are not even half on your way. To die when you are very old is not nice but natural, but die when you are young is a tragedy. Doesn't matter what the reason is. And that's why I want you to remember. The 10th of October 2009 is the day when the young hero passed away. He was an inspiration for MANY.........
Keep in mind...live your life, like it would be your last day...you never know

The following interview of AYOR Studios' ROBERT BOGGS by French journalist Thierry CALMONT was made in Paris in April 2009 and published in the French gay magazine TRIBU Move in July 2009.AYOR Studios thanks TRIBU Move and Thierry Calmont for allowing us to post it here.
Robert Boggs was 30 when he landed in gay porn. This was almost 13 years ago and he’s spent this time dedicating himself fully to his Art ! He loves life and its pleasures and beauties, but he is also a hard worker, making movies for German, French and American distributors under a diversity of names, before he finally decided to create his own company in 2004 : AYOR Studios (AYOR as in AT YOUR OWN RISK).
His characteristic approach is to celebrate male friendship/camaraderie/comradship, to capture on screen how desire appears and grows between men, and his goal is to male the sexual alchemy that ensues not just visible but his viewers must share it.
Robert Boggs’ magic touch has to do with the true closeness which comes to exist between his models, but this takes time and requires a lot of work before the actual shoots. Some have tried to mimic his style, but they only managed a caricature. And it is that style that’s made him a collaborator of BAOL for the last 2 years and a half. His best models have something of angels (they seem to be forever young and once you see them it’s hard to forget their angelic beauty) and something of gods (because of their perfectly muscled and athletic bodies), and he likes to mix them with with more « ordinary-looking » types.
In his series, BUDDIES, TALES and MORE TALES, he has invented a new concept, « reality porn », which is half adult film, half documentary on his actors’ lives (family, school, work, sport, hobbies, loves and sex life…). The third instalment in his « More Tales » series is being released now, with a wonderfully sexy cast : Ariel Vanean, Randy Quaid, as well as a newcomer, Tommy Michaelo who appears to have a hearty appetite.
Along with this, Robert is working on a collection of documentary projects (25 min, to be shown on PINK TV all along 2010) about some of his favorite models. The first instalment will focus on the love affair between Kevin Kraus and Adam Zarsky, and on their coming out : Kevin worked as director’s assistant on Robert’s « Follow Me » last year, and Adam had a scene in that movie. Both young men can be seen also in « MORE TALES 3 » which aired just once as an exclusive preview on PINKX, Sunday September 20. Our whole team would like to thank Christian Fournier for his work as a go-between on this interview.
What did you do before directing gay adult movies and how did you come to this activity ?
I started my career working for State-controlled TV in Czechoslovakia, from the mid-80s to the early 90s.At first, I was assistant camera, then worked on sound for some
TV movies and news shows. After that, I took time off and I worked in the restaurant business as bartender and waiter. THat’s where I ran into Roman Cernik, who was an early
director of gay porn films in the Czech Republic for Man’s Best. He asked me to help him with writing and shooting films.
At first it was fun and new, then it got more
compicated as we didn’t agree on the work. He just wanted to shoot quickly and make money. After one year, I decided to split and continue on my own.
That’s when I started to work on my first personal project and to shoot for myself.
In those times, you would shoot for many different studios ?
For eight years, I produced films for German distributors who used for me the name Robert Sonntag. Then I was able to diversify my activites finding French and American distributors. The latter (Bronco Studios and Tribal Pulse Productions) came up with the new name of Alain Éclair. Starting in 2004, I also made films for Eurocreme under the Blöc Harcore label. In 2007 was released Factory Fuckfest, my last film for them to date.
So when and why did you decide to set up AYOR Studios ?
I started AYOR in 2004. There were quite a few problems with all those earlier distributors. To make a long story short, there were sometimes money problems, whether to actually get paid or because they would offer insufficient budgets. Also they didn’t always understand my way of making movies. With AYOR, I wanted to clearly focus on quality, and develop projects with a realistic approach to gay themes. For the distributors, what mattered was cheap « just sex » movies, made as quickly as possible. Furthermore, the Americans always refused to have subtitles in my films, so that the story became mpossible to understand. Distributors would also come up with new stagenames for me and my models, or sometimes give me no credit at all. So this was becoming too frustrating. That’s when I decided to set up my own company and distribute my films myself, so that I could get more money and reinvest it for quality projects.
One gets the sense that the Czech Republic and Slovakia are a real treasure trove for actors ?
Well, it’s become more difficult to find models today than i twas in the past. Right after 1989, actors would be happy with not so much money. Now rates have gone up quite a lot. Moreover, it’s become more difficult for the younger generation to be a pornstar or have a career in adult entertainment, because more guys are going to school, studying for degrees and they concentrate on their own life plans. At the end of Communism, the economy of Czechoslovakia was in very bad shape, so there were very few opportunities. Over the last few years, there’s been quite a boom in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia and for young guys who want to move on with their lives, there are better and more interesting things to do than porn. The other thing is the increased visibility of models. In the past, gay porn movies would be only available in foreign countries, and not in the Czech Republic. Models could work in porn and think, well, no one will ever know ! Everything changed in 2005, with the Filip Trojovsky scandal, when the Czech newsmedia exposed that Czech « Big Brother » contestant as Tommy Hansen, the well-known Bel Ami model. Up until that date, Bel Ami had been quite successful in keeping their models out of the public eye at home.
There’s been quite a lot of publicity in France about « Eastern European » models working in gay porn being all straight and only doing it for money. Is this just one more fantasy of Western viewers ? What’s the truth ?
I’d say that out of 10 actors, 6 would call themselves hetero and 4 as gay. It’s important to say « call themselves », because this is about self-perception and definition, not about reality which is quite different ! Let me explain : nothing is so clear-cut, nothing is just black or white. I don’t believe that truly « hetero » guys would perform in gay movies. They are bisexual, at the very least. Now if you take a closer look, and I have seen this myself time and time again, it turns out most of them have boyfriends. When you start asking questions and you get them to talk, they end up saying that, yes, they have a boyfriend and are in fact gay. One reason for all this is that they are young, are still looking for their own way, they haven’t yet come out, not even to themselves. But then sometimes, when I meet again someone I hadn’t seen for one year, he will introduce his boyfriend to me. Andy et the Czech Republic is not a homophobic country, we are the first ex-Communist country that passed a law creating registered partnerships for same-sex couples. There is very little religious influence to explain this problem, it’s really just backwardness in social attitudes. Ariel Vanean, to give you an example, is a true bisexual, he takes as much pleasure being with girls as with boys, and can fall in love with either. Bisexuality is a common occurrence, as evidence, there was recently a poll in the Czech Republic about sexual orientations and practices and only 12% of men defined themselves as 100% hetero.
So tell us your secret : where do you find such incredible sex gods ?
I’m not so often in gay clubs or gay venues, so of course I use scouts to find new talents. I place ads in gay magazines or sites. Of course, when I do go out, or even just in the street, I can’t help being a producer, so I keep casting in my head faces and guys I see. But sometimes, things happen more easily than you’d think. When models come for a shoot or for casting, they’ll often bring a friend along, who sometimes is also a fuck buddy. Life is full of surprises !
Let me now mention to you some of your models and you can give a quick take on them and what you think ! We’ll start with Dominik Trojan.
I worked a lot with him three years ago an dit was a great experience. Dominik is bisexual. I immediately saw his potential which is why I cast him as the main character of the first two episodes of my series Buddies : Moving In and Dominik in Ibiza. He is indeed the cover model for both. This is my reality porn series, a new concept I came up with. So we had six months of very close collaboration, but we stopped because rather than staying on as an exclusive, he’d rather work for a bunch of different studios. But we always remained in close touch and he might return to work on new AYOR projects later this year.
Patrick Veselsky : he is a great favorite of mine because he’s got I think one of the most amazing combinations : an angel face with a perfectly muscled body. A dream come true.
He decided he’d done enough and brought his career to an end in October 2006. I worked with him a lot in 2004-2005, sometimes also for other companies which explains such other akas as Patrick Murdock or Daniel Murdoch. His final appearance was in Buddies 2 : Dominik in Ibiza (with Dominik). He decided to focus on his studies and career and went back to school. He is bisexual and like many young guys, he was a typical case of someone paying his way through school by shooting porn.
Ariel Vanean is your current stud star, he appears on the covers of More Tales 2 and of Spray. We decided to put him on the cover of TRIBU MOVE in the arms of Kieron Athey.
He is one of my ideals as a porn star. He is an exclusive model with Bel Ami. He is someone I greatly appreciate as a person. It is quite visible, as beside the two films you just mentioned, he is also the star of Follow Me. He is bisexual, absolutely adorable and in his cxase, let me say being bisexual means that he is very very gay. He’s had a few girlfriends, but nothing serious or long-term… if you see what I mean. He is gorgeous, he’s really got something special, and in particular a lot of charisma. As the phrase goes, he is a real show-stopper.

He has appeared in two of my movies, first Spray, where he stars in the final scene along with Ariel, and then in Follow Me. He is quite charming. Male comradeship is an essential theme in your movies, so how do you manage to create this sexual alchemy between your models ?
In principle, this is something which naturally comes out of the mood that prevails on my shoots. This is like a small family which gets together again, everybody knows each other, and the newbies always get a warm reception from the old hands. It’s a friendly, fun atmosphere, and we all take care of each other. It may not appear on the screen but there is long term work behind all this to achieve this kind of mood. But what I want as a result is for my viewers to see it and share it. That’s my manner, my style, and that’s what I want most of all. My notion of a perfect shoot is to shoot with friends, outside of Prague, in one nice location for a whole week with friendly models in a cheerful atmosphere. Granted, in reality, things can be complicated or stressful but this shouldn’t be reflected on screen. Same about the models, it is necessary for me to appreciate them personally to be able to work with them. Sometimes, real good-looking guys come for casting, but if they are not nice, forget it. When guys are arrogant, I don’t want them either because this would risk being reflected on the whole team, on the shoot and on the final film. I love shooting with Ariel Vanean, Patrick Velsesky and Adam Kubick (Team Training) because they are really adorable. Sometimes it will happen with certain models that they ask, we must go faster, we just want to wrap the scene, we have no time to lose, we got to catch a train to get home. That’s not the way I work. In my movies, models are also actors : they carry the movie, they introduce the situations, they talk about their everyday lives, their hobbies, their fantasies… What takes me one day to shoot, sometimes several days, others botch it up in one hour or ninety minutes.
What are your plans for the near future ?
I want to continue in the direction I opened with Buddies, my reality porn project. It’s Sex and the City. I am preparing a sequel to the Buddies series. Three years after the first two episodes, this is what i’d like to get back to.
In France, lots of young gay guys would like to become pornstars. Do you have some advice to give them ?
They should send me e-mails and we’ll organise a casting session in Paris. This is what happens in the Czech Republic too, but most of the time, out of 10 applicants, 9 are not what I am looking for, or don’t correspond to the AYOR look.
So could you define that look ?
Well, it’s not so different from the Bel Ami look. I am thinking once again of guys like Adam Kubick, Patrick Veselsky, Ariel Vanean….Cute guys with handsome faces, no need to be a bodybuilder, a normal body is fine. They can be into sports, be 18 to 25. They should be expressive in front of the camera, have lots of stamina and something special in their eyes.

On Saturday the 5th of September he would have been 63 years old. We are talking about Freddie Mercury (*5.9.1946 - 24.11.1991), songwriter, singer, producer, founder and leader of the rock band Queen - A lover of extravagance, wild parties and endless enjoyment of life, he died in November 1991 and became one of those famous celebrities, who fell, a victim of AIDS.
Freddie Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara on the 5th of September 1946, in eastern Africa, on the island of Zanzibar, now part of the state of Tanzania. His genius became apparent at school for the first time, there he devoted himself especially to singing and playing the piano. In 1964 he had to move to London with all his family, because of the revolution in Zanzibar.
In 1966 he started studying at the Ealing Art College of Art. This period represented a big turn over in his life, it was a time when he met many of his future colleagues in the art world. The most important moment is for sure his meeting with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor in 1970. In 1968 these two had started a band called 'Smile' with bass player and singer Tim Staffel. After a while the band fell apart and Tim Staffel left for good. In that moment Freddie Mercury was "ready" to take part and he became a member of the band and pushed for a new name 'Queen'.
The trio then tried to find the fourth member of the group and several months later they chose bass guitarist John Deacon.
The first album 'Queen' wasn't long in coming, it came out in 1973 and the second album 'Queen II' appeared the following year. 'Queen II' was a major success and in British pop charts it became the fifth best selling album. But the real start of Queen's phenomenal success story was their fourth album „A Night at The Opera“ released in November 1975, which included the huge hit single „Bohemian Rhapsody".
The music video for that song was just brilliant in the mid 70's and the song which is a combinationtof several musical styles stayed at number one on the British single charts post for 9 long weeks. It is the UK's third best selling single of all time.
Freddie Mercury the leader of the band was great especially because of his unbelievable creativity and productive potential, of his inclination for extravagance and his perfectionism. One of the most famous Queen videos came up with the song „I want to break free“, where Freddie's extravagance reaches perfection.
Over the next few years 'Queen' always found itself in the top slots in the charts, they played to sold out stadiums all over the world and received lots and lots of various awards. At the same time they were known as kings of wild parties. Especially Freddie fell in love with luxury and a wild lifestyle. He spent hundreds of thousand pounds on parties, shopping sprees and the other amenities of life. In the 80's Freddie was spending more and more time in gay clubs and venues, mainly in New York City and Munich. This period of his life, filled with drinking, drugs, several day long parties and sexual escapades with lots of lovers was to be fatal to him.
At the end of the 80's, Freddie Mercury seemed to have almost retired as he was spending more and more time in his favourite place, Montreux, in Switzerland. He was enjoying a more restful life there and working with the band on their next records.
Lots of speculations and rumors had started to spread about his health condition. Freddie denied those speculations almost till the end of his life, only acknowledging he was HIV positive and had AIDS on November 23, 1991, one day before his death at the age of 45.
Too Much Love Will Kill You
Simon Rex, actor, rapper and model knows that very well. He's become famous thanks to the movies. Especially Scary Movie 3 (2003) & 4 (2006). This charmer was born in 1974 in San Francisco and has had to face his past for 13 years.
He appeared in two adult movies in 1996 (Young, Hard & Solo 2, 3), two scenes in fact, where he masturbates and he seems to enjoy himself. His career was supposed to be great and success was "on the way" even on MTV, but after the channel's management found out about those tapes, he got fired. He's had to live down his past till today.
Just recently his part in Scary Movie 3 & 4 has given him a new chance to have another career. Even though the adult movies he's made were intended for homosexuals, Simon Rex has always denied he is gay.
Pictures of well known Thai boxer Worapoj Petchkooma, where he is just wearing underwear, have appeared on the cover of Thai gay magazine Stage.
ABAT (Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand) has reacted and blames the fighter for very unfit behaviour, based on his agreeing to shoot for that magazine, for its third anniversary issue.
Worapoj won the silver medal in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and now he could get a one year suspension, and be blocked from attending the next Games, which could be fatal for his career.
He said he didn't know it was a gay magazine he had been shooting for and he denies being gay, saying he has a girlfriend. "It seemed to be a little bit suspicious, when they told me to take off my trousers and pose for them only in shorts. But they told me the only reason for that was to show off my good physique".
ABAT's representatives want to hear out the young man and then decide on what kind of penalty and how severe.
The AYOR Boys documentary series wants to continue in a more systematic fashion
what was started by Robert Boggs in 2004 in his first Behind-the-Scenes featurettes
(short films) and which was given another development in the opening monologues
(or interviews) of his TALES and MORE TALES films.The motto of TALES ("These are the guys you dream about. You see them just once and they change your life forever.") could be in fact a first summary of the project.
The central idea is to focus every time on one attractive AYOR model, or more accurately on the character the model has come to play and embody in front of Robert Boggs' camera. Beside offering glimpses of the model's various appearances over the years, each documentary will attempt to tell a story, which is that character's story, made more explicit for the viewer in that documentary. Since Robert Boggs' camera succeeds in capturing some elements of the essence of the person through the character he is playing, the films will play the game of fiction and truth, demonstrating those young men are interesting enough in themselves, beyond porn and outside of porn.
KEVIN KRAUS
Kevin first appeared in AYOR films last year. With a winsome smile and irresistible
friendliness, he appeared at times to be strangely shy. Also, he is one guy much
subject to blushing, with funny results sometimes.The goings on with his classmate Colin already revealed that he was after something more, and it all becomes very clear when in the middle of his documentary Kevin makes his coming out and talks about his first serious love, his boyfriend of six months Adam Zarsky.
Through several quick touches, we understand many things: Kevin's previous shyness, the sweet love for and understanding with Adam, in spite of their differences and conflicting schedules.
All seems well, but in a final return to fiction, and Ariel Vanean's hearbreak with HIS boyfriend, we can see that real life has lots of challenges to true love, even when telling the truth about oneself is no longer a problem.

The White House has made a video public on the internet where US President Barack Obama can be seen with his wife Michelle getting tested for HIV. The most powerful man in the world wishes to be an example for all Americans.
In the first part of the clip we can see Barack Obama as a US senator during his visit to Kenya in 2006 where he took part in a prevention action against AIDS. He called on locals to get tested and with his wife he underwent the procedure as well.
The clip ends with Obama's current appearance, so as American president. He reminds viewers, that diseases don't know borders. The message he brought to Kenya two years ago is a big deal in the US today, he says. He's called on all Americans to get tested.
According to statistics, over one milion Americans carry the HIV virus and one American out of five doesn't know that he or she has got it. The American president's message is for the whole world. 33 milion people have been infected with HIV all over the world.
It's a very high figure. AYOR studios has paid attention to showing safer sex and using condoms in movies for a long time. For us it's very important to show that sex can be exciting "even" with a condom and IT IS exciting. You can see it in our clips as well.
